Naz Hussey
A Passion for Art
Naz's interest in painting began during his teenage years, before a career that took him through the worlds of fashion and renovation. Eventually, a search for a different quality of life brought him to France—and ultimately to Belvès.
Today his paintings combine the traditional act of putting paint to canvas with distinctly contemporary ideas.
Working predominantly in acrylic, Naz explores our increasingly digital world: technology, communication, knowledge and the extraordinary pace at which society is changing.

Inspired by Belvès
For an artist interested in the relationship between past and future, Belvès provides an intriguing backdrop.
Centuries-old stone buildings and medieval streets sit alongside the rhythms of modern life, and Naz draws inspiration from the village and the perspectives it creates. His works include Belvès by Night, a striking interpretation of an illuminated village street, and Belvès sur la colline.
